Watts Up Coaching | About Me | Cycle Coaching by former pro Andrew Roche

Ras 1997
I have been involved in cycling for nearly 30 years of which 8 of those years were spent riding as a professional starting in Belgium and more recently riding in the British race scene. Some of my highlights along the way have included winning the FBD Milk RAS in 1997, second in the Manx international in 1992, winning the Manx mountain TT in 2003, and winning the Shay Elliott in 2006. I have also competed in six Commonwealth games for the Isle of Man, most recently in Delhi taking the pleasure in riding as a team mate to Mark Cavendish.

I made Belgium my home for a number of years, and the majority of my racing skills and knowledge came from that experience. Now coming to the end of the more competitive part of my racing career, I want to pass on my knowledge and experience to others through my business.

I have mixed racing with work, and family (having twin boys) for a number of years so finding a balance is very important. Therefore all my training plans are based around your needs and your time available.

In addition to all the above I also hold a diploma in fitness and nutrition, and am also a Level 2 British Cycling coach.

I do take pride in using my experience and knowing how riders work in the real world rather than relying on practices learnt in a class room.
